Ganeinu is a play-based, warm, and loving preschool. We are dedicated to the welfare, safety, nurturing, and individual growth of each child in all developmental domains. Ganeinu provides a cutting-edge Judaic and General Studies preschool curriculum infused with a love of Torah and Judaism. Ganeinu’s curriculum is Torah-centered, and draws from the methods of the Reggio Emilia Approach and other play-based programs.
In addition to our daily curriculum, the students attend a weekly music class, focusing on the development of whole-body coordination, rhythm, pitch, musical expression, musical performance and familiarity with basic musical concepts and terminology.
From time to time, special programming is added to the regular curriculum. Some examples from this past year: in the winter, Ganeinu students were treated to a visit from the Denver Fire Department to learn about fire safety, and also toured the inside of a real fire truck. Before Passover, the students visited a special nearby Chabad matzoh factory, and made their own shmurah matzoh.
In the late spring, Ganeinu had special in-school STEM programming from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science called "Wonder Workshop Wild Senses." Here's a program description from the Museum: we transform your schoolroom into a natural wonderland ready to be explored. Young learners take on animal behaviors to experience the natural world around them, as animals would. Kids smell out their food like a squirrel, hunt in the dark like a raccoon, and use infrared detection to see prey like a snake. An adventurous Museum educator guides your explorers as they discover adaptation and senses firsthand through animals’ wild senses. This program will amaze and delight your animals—er, kids—with pretend play and fun, educational activities.
Jewish Life
Ganeinu Preschool is a fully immersive Jewish experience. Jewish life is experienced through hands-on Parsha, Shabbat, and Jewish holiday projects, arts and crafts, songs, stories, and play acting. The students learn both English and Hebrew alphabets, and we incorporate Hebrew into our daily lessons.
At Ganeinu, parents are seen as essential partners in their child's preschool education and development. We strongly encourage our students’ families to be involved with their educational experience and to collaborate with our teaching staff to help facilitate our students' growth.
